John Purcell Jr., MD

John Purcell Jr., MD is a fourth-generation physician participating in a family tradition that first began in the 1800’s originating with his great grandfather, then by his grandfather, father and now his brother and cousins.

Dr. Purcell began his journey in healthcare as a surgical technician in the operating room at St.Peter’s Hospital and then served as an emergency medical technician at St. Michaels College in Vermont. Dr. Purcell attended medical school at Ross University and completed his medical residency at Albany Medical Center in internal medicine and went on to participate in clinical dermatology research at the largest medical center in the United States, the University of Houston Texas and has 20 years of clinical dermatology experience.

Presently, John Purcell, MD, is the owner and medical director of Capital Skin Medical Spa working to perfect the science of aesthetic dermatology to obtain optimal results and assist clients in reaching their personal goals of rejuvenation, correction and overall wellness. Dr. John Purcell Jr. is the son of Dr. J Michael Purcell Sr.
