Excel V is not appropriate for every situation. Dr. Purcell screens during your assessment for active skin infection at the treatment site, recent significant sun exposure or a tan (which increases the risk of pigment changes when treating with the melanin-targeting wavelength), certain photosensitizing medications, and pregnancy.
