Tracy’s North American School of Podology Training

Tracy’s certifications cover advanced pedicures, nail and skin pathology, and diabetic foot syndrome, with continued education at the North American School of Pedicuring. The training includes diabetic foot care, identifying nail and skin infections and conditions and developing a care plan, safe sanitation and disinfection, advanced callus reduction, and home-care recommendations to extend your results.

Diabetic Foot Care

Diabetes can affect circulation and nerve sensation in the feet, which is why regular, careful foot care matters for people managing it. People with diabetes come to Tracy for exactly that, routine care and regular checks of their feet, including people referred by their doctors. Her diabetic foot syndrome certification means every pedicure is approached with that in mind: careful tool work and close attention to skin and nail changes from one visit to the next. If you have an open wound, let us know when you book, since it changes the steps of the pedicure.

Nail and Skin Pathology

Part of Tracy’s training covers identifying nail and skin infections and conditions and developing a care plan around what she observes. That means thickened or discolored nails, fungal changes, calluses, and slow-healing spots are recognized and cared for, and anything your doctor should see is flagged to you right away.
