Round Lake
Round Lake is a village in Saratoga County, New York. The population is expected to reach 844 in the 2020 census. The name “Round Lake” is derived from a circular lake that sits adjacent to the village. In 1975, the town was added to the National Register of Historic Places. Today, the town offers numerous recreational opportunities and attractions. The village is also home to a National Register of Historic Places.
The population of Round Lake is around 600. The area is rich in history and culture. The village’s historical buildings were listed on the National Register of Historic Places. During the 1800s, the village was populated primarily by French and Dutch immigrants. By the late 19th century, a Dutch settlers’ settlement was established on the site of the Round Lake Village. In the 1930s, the area was a popular resort destination.
Although the town is home to many ethnic groups, it is important to note that 61.1% of the population is white, while 12.3% is Black or African American. The remaining 17.8% of residents are Hispanic or Latino. In the 1970s, the Round Lake Association’s museum closed and was demolished.
